With enormous pride we share that the Chilean team, belonging to the Electronics Specialty of the Ignacio Carrera Pinto Polytechnic High School, obtained a SILVER MEDAL in the Mechatronics category of the Infomatrix World Championship held in Romania, one of the most important international events of innovation and technology.

The championship initially projected the participation of delegations from around 40 countries, reflecting the event's global reach and prestige. Ultimately, representatives from 20 countries made it to the final, in-person stage in Romania, bringing together some of the most outstanding student projects on the international technological innovation circuit.

The World Championship included 9 international competition categories and, specifically in Mechatronics, 34 high-level projects from different parts of the world participated, evaluated by specialized juries under international standards of innovation, technological development and impact.

At Infomatrix, awards are given according to levels of excellence: Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum

The Platinum distinction is reserved exclusively for projects that surpass even the expected level within their own category, considered exceptional proposals of the tournament. Therefore, obtaining a SILVER MEDAL represents achieving one of the highest levels of international recognition in the competition, positioning our team among the outstanding projects of the World Championship.

In the words of the teachers and delegates who accompanied the students to Romania:
“This significant achievement reflects months of work, innovation, technical preparation, and perseverance, demonstrating that Chilean public technical and vocational education can also develop projects capable of competing globally. But this result also offers an important reflection: investing in student participation in these kinds of international events is not an expense, it is an investment in the future.
